Eating out can be frustrating for people with Celiac disease but there are more places to eat at then you might think in San Diego.

Tip: Go as far as telling them you are gluten intolerant because even some of the GF places have cross-contamination otherwise the kitchen may not take as much care.

1. True Foods: American cafeteria-like setting with dishes made with local and organic ingredients.

La Jolla:

1. Puesto Mexican Street Food: Everything except for the shrimp

2. Roppongi restaurant & sushi bar: Has a separate GF menu

3. Tender Greens: Cafeteria like with whole and organic foods

4. Roy’s Yamaguchi Pacific Rim Cuisine: Has a separate GF menu
5. Truluck's: UTC upscale seafood.  The GF items on the happy hour menu is limited to shrimp and oysters.
